Opened in November 1992, continually upgraded, The Emerald Hotel is located in the midst of one of Bangkok’s busiest commercial and entertainment hubs. The Emerald Hotel is considered “home away from home” too many of its regular guests.
Unlike most major cities there is no “central or downtown” Bangkok. Instead there are three or four different areas in the city which all provide shopping, entertainment and business facilities. The Emerald Hotel is in one of these areas on Rachadapisek Road, commonly abbreviated to “Rachada”.
The Hotel is conveniently located within 2 minutes walk to one of Bangkok’s underground (MRT) stations. Train journeys ranging from 10 to 20 minutes will take you on to some other well known areas – Sukhumvit, Silom and Siam Square. Using the MRT and the above ground Skytrain connection you can also easily get to the Chaophaya River where river cruise boats depart regularly from underneath the station. 10 minutes from/to hotel/Makasan Airport Rail Link station (the newest transportation to Suvarnabhumi Airport)
